3 Step Process
Step 1: The Consultation
Lets discuss your vision and let me tell you how we can make it happen! In person, by phone or emails we can communicate everything needed to make the perfect idea come to life!
Areas to discuss:
*Color Combinations, embellishments and trims
*Set Budget
*Style & Fit
Its always helpful to hear your music or see a video of the routine. From that we can discuss certain aspects of your routine and details that we need to pay attention to like length of skirt or color choices. I then sketch out ideas and we go from there. We discuss timelines and budgets to be sure that we are on the same page about expectations.
Step 2: The Production
I also like to be realistic about labor, fabrics and embellishments. You will be informed if pricing or availability is different than we discussed in consultation. No surprises!!!
*I order all the fabrics, appliques, elastics, undergarments needed for production from my vast array of vendors
*All of my pattering is self-drafted for the best fit using your measurements as my guide
*I meticulously go to work to produce your design and make it come to life
Step 3: The Fitting and Delivery
As I have described, the best fit is important in my designs. Before final delivery we can consult on any last edits or adjustments. By this time, the costume will fit just as you have imagined and its time for the finishing touches. Many times the costumer may want to add the "bling" themselves but with DBS you have options on that as well.
*Embellishments such as rhinestoning or sequining is also another speciality of mine. Do you need assistance with this? Don't hesitate to ask!
